Brittany Haas, a great young fiddler, has a new eponymous CD out, available directly from her at www.brittanyhaas.com
Apparently she's too busy finishing high school to tour in supoort of it, so she couldn't get a distributor. It's a great album, though, with plenty of stuff she learned from OT fiddle great Bruce Molsky. She usually plays in Darol Anger's American Fiddle Ensemble, which you should go see if it comes to your town. The CD includes Darol, Bruce, Mike Marshall, Scott Nygaard, and others.
Mando content: Darol plays some tasty licks on mandolin or mandola on many of the tracks, and Mike Marshall plays mandocello on one track. Great CD, check it out, and support an independent musician too.
