Probably shouldn't. You'll all hear the faults in my playing, but the marvellous vocals by a young Sydney vocalist, Linda Taylor, covers my imperfections admirably.

It's a jbovier ELS. I'm using jazzmando flat wound strings, a jazzmando pick and the pickup setting is in the middl. It was a jam night (hence my imperfections - I was under rehearsed) so I don't know what amplifier. The arrangement is essentially mine, using iRealb for the chord progression.

I loved it, David. You sounded great...the accompaniment was perfect for the song...understatedly elegant! Linda was fantastic! I just bought a jbovier ELS (cream) to play around with. I am finding it somewhat difficult, because the feel is so different from my Weber, but I'm having fun.

I've been working on my version of "East Tennessee Blues" I am going to clean it up this weekend and respost it on this thread.

Thank you so much. Stick with the ELS: it holds many rewards

I already started another thread about my mandolin, but here is a few videos taken last weekend of me playing "East Tennessee Blues" on my new mandolin. It's been about 7 years or so since I've owned and played a mandolin and I don't know why I waited so long to get back in the saddle I'm having so much fun!

You've got a nice tone there. What type of mando is it?

Thanks for your comments....your jazzy electric mandolin playing sounds really great as well. This is my new Eddie Blevins F5 custom built mandolin that I picked up and brought back to Argentina with me. I used to play mandolin a long time ago and I wanted to buy one and start playing again.
