best beginning to end build thread?

hello all, i have only been here a few days but was hoping someone could direct me to the best thread where someone builds a mandolin from beginning (raw wood) to the end (a finished instrument)? i went through about 20 pages of this forum and didnt see any titles that matched what i was searching for. Thank you in advance, i appreciate it.

I've been here a long time and even considered doing a build. I've never seen a best single thread for doing it. There's just too much going on in a build to cover it all. If you're looking for help on a build, get a good kit (the International IV would be a great place to start if your a total noob), and start your own thread or blog about it. Get a good book (http://parts.siminoff.net/booksanddrawings.aspx)or set of plans (http://www.elderly.com/books/items/656-1.htm) and leap in. Use the builder forum to ask questions and get advice from some top notch builders who so graciously share what they have spent lifetimes learning.

One of the first members to carefully document his first build of an IV Kit was Darren Kern. If you look back through the threads he started (http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/search.php?searchid=4224335&pp=)you can gain a lot of useful insights.
