Any body like to offer their thoughts on Tim O'Briens CBOM DVD? I was thinking that this might suit me after approx.6 months playing.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should !
Reminds me of the definition of a good Banjo player:
"someone that can - but doesn't!"

I was pleasantly surprised with the Tim O'Brien DVD. I came in expecting him to not teach a lot to me and ended up learning a lot. I still look at it an glean great material from it and recommend it at all levels.
I am a big Tim O'Brien fan and have been for years and this DVD solidified his place in my mandolin pantheon.
As a beginner you will get some tips and techniques, but as you progress you will see the more subtle things that make him great.
