I've been listening to Doc pick it, but really love Grappelli's version, w/ Grisman.

Can anyone help me out with the chords for the rhythm part (thought I'd learn that first).

I've been searching this site for some tab or some kind of transcription to get me rolling, but can't turn anything up. I have yet to take my search to the WWW yet. . .

Any help is appreciated. . .

Niles put out a book years (nay, Decades!) ago of Rick Skaggs' solos to tunes, this was in that book off his (Skaggs') That's It record. Hot picking and jazzy phrasings abound, and there was even a section of chord voicings to get that swingy sound on da manalin.

Good book.

I've been working on this tune & I'll tell ya.......those Mandozine versions that b.pat liked to above, have all you need. Different skill levels, from beginner...... all the way up to Thile ripping it. I dig Kaufman's version, I'm not quite up to walking in Chris's fingerprints....... (yet!!)

great jam tune....
most people i know tend to play it in F.. django played it in E... so i learned it there too... hehehe
a good way to rock this tune out is to string through some bluegrass licks in the key of the chord being played behind it...
