The Wasp Reel - Simon Mayor. An original reel in the best Celtic tradition from English mandolin great Simon Mayor. Versions in G and A plus tablature.
Dance of the Water Boatmen - Simon Mayor. Another great original tune from Mayor.
O'Carolan's Draught - Scott Tichenor. One of the great melodies (and most often performed) from the Irish harper Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738). This melody was originally in G. I moved it into F because I wanted to arrange it with more chords for the solo part and this key fit perfectly. Keep this one slow and lush and make full use of the chords to define the melody. As with all of his music, the chords are wide open for interpretation.
Dem Triska Rebns Nign - Shawn Weaver. Shawn Weaver of Seattle, Washington. He leads the band Shawn's Kugel (check out their CD).
Mouth of the Tobique - Aaron Lord. This pieces comes from Aaron Lord, a talented mandolin and violin player from Portland, Oregon. Arranged in both standard notation and tablature.
