1890's Flush Fret/Fretless Banjo Conversion

Please contact me for more pictures.

This one is hard to describe. The pot is an old snare drum from the 1890's that I converted into a banjo. Pot, shoes, and tension hoop are all original. Hooks and nuts are from Rickard.

The neck and dowel stick were all handmade (no power tools used) by me. I used the Sweeney headstock design and handmade the inlay for the flush frets. It's fretless, but the flush frets just provide markers. I also used the same inlay on the custom ebony tailpiece, and built a Morris-style bridge made from Maple (dyed to appear like ebony).

26.5 in. scale
12" pot with calf hide head (thick)
Vintage friction tuners (probably from the 20's)
Custom handmade banjo

Asking $795 but I'm up to negotiations.
