Very beautiful banjo with fine woods, inlays, and bindings. Nickel and gold mixed hardware, mostly Prucha.

Walnut banjo with heavily figured resonator. Straight grain Walnut neck. Ebony peghead overlay with elaborate classically styled inlays and the name Capek engraved into center abalone banner. Flat Gabon Ebony fingerboard with lovely, engraved abalone inlays. Banjo is bound with grained ivoroid binding with marketry purfling along sides of fingerboard under binding, sides of resonator, and concentric circle in back of resonator. Blackened back of headstock. Gold pre-War style Krischot pancake-style offset tuners. Schaller 5th tuner. All with matching ivoroid buttons. Four railroad spikes installed at A, Bb, B, and C positions. Comes with heavy-duty, but medium-weight, Czech-made flight case.
Parts mix is as follows: gold tension hoop, flange, tuners, and baseplate of Presto tailpiece. Nickel parts are hooks & nuts, tone ring (Prucha), arm rest, Presto tailpiece cover, resonator hardware, and co-ordinator rods. Beautiful Prucha 3-ply Maple rim.

Professionally set up and it sounds great.
