2006 Prucha Fall In Love Custom Cherry Gold

Photo for Ad 167461

$4,850.00

Highly figured Cherry resonator and neck. Ebony peghead overlay has JPrucha inlaid in Abalone, with “floral” Abalone inlays sprinkled around peghead. Solid Pearl truss rod cover. Bone nut. Main tuners: 2 gold Keith for 2nd & 3rd tuners; 2 Schaller offset tuners for 1st & 4th; gold Schaller 5th tuner all with matching amber buttons. 2-pc. neck with attractive stringer running along the center of the back. Very nicely figured Maple with sunburst finish. Radiused Ebony fingerboard with “Fallen Leaf” pattern Abalone inlays. 4 Railroad spikes installed at A, B-flat, B and C positions. Fingerboard is multiple bound with tortoise celluloid showing on the outside, and white/black accent lines on both sides of the tortoise. This means the white and black accent lines are seen on the face of the fingerboard, and the sides of the fingerboard. Ebony heelcap. 2-pc., bookmatched quilted Cherry resonator with handsome amber-brown sunburst. Top and back edge of resonator shows same binding pattern as fingerboard: tortoise celluloid main bindings with multiple white/black lines on both sides of the tortoise seen on top lip of resonator, back edge of resonator and top and bottom of the sides of resonator. The pot of the banjo has mostly frosted gold. It is in great condition because the previous owner protected the armrest and other parts from too much hand touching. Frosted armrest, tailpiece, side of tension hoop. Flathead tonering is bright gold. Flange is frosted.

Banjo is in really great shape, and has been recently setup to achieve excellent tone. The head has been tuned to "just a bit past" F. It has a rolling growl with smoothness and no brash metallic tones.
