Ome Banjo Wizard 12" Curly Maple 5 String New

Photo for Ad 158291

We ordered this OME Wizard with a 12-inch head and a maple neck and shell. The dense maple neck and large head combine to deliver a strong clear tone, but the scooped fingerboard allows you to play away from the bridge for more mellow tone. This is not a "plunky" sounding instrument when you move your right hand closer to bridge, it's loud and would make a great string band banjo that you don't have to flog to be heard. The antiqued brass hardware gives it a beautiful look and the wooden armrest is more comfy than the typical cold metal armrest or tension hoop. Price includes a hard shell case.

Acoustic guitars, mandolins, and banjos are still the mainstays at Gryphon, as they have been for over 45 years, though our inventory of steel guitars and ukuleles continues to grow as well. In recent years an important part of our growth has been in instruments by very small companies and individual makers, as we continue to keep one foot, or at least several toes, outside the mainstream music industry.
