This is not just another one of the already awesome Luthier's Choice AJ Reissues, this is one of the 8 "Stinger" Brazilian AJs -- the Best of the Best -- tonally and aesthetically.

This is one of only 8 Stinger AJs custom-made for the famed and now defunct Music Machine. Without hyperbole, many experts agree that THESE AJs ARE QUITE SIMPLY THE FINEST SOUNDING AND PLAYING ACOUSTIC GUITARS GIBSON HAS MADE IN THE PAST 40 YEARS. The 8 Stingers are set apart from the other Luthier's Choice run Brazilian AJs by the superior materials, construction, tone and details.

This instrument is serial number MMBAJ006. The "MM" is for the Music Machine. The "B" is for Brazilian. And the "AJ" is, of course, for Advanced Jumbo. The "006" is because it is the sixth of only eight that the top Montana USA Custom Shop builders crafted for Music Machine.

Super Rare. All the Stinger acoustics, but especially the AJs, are the stuff of legend because Music Machine had them built so specially and in such small numbers.

I am struggling with the decision to sell this one. This beautiful AJ is near mint, as close to new condition as you'll find in a 18 year-old instrument. It has never been played on a gig. There are no breaks or repairs and it plays effortlessly with no buzzes. It comes with the original Custom Art Historic hard shell, plush-lined case with a minor ding and a malfunctioning lock. The gold colored hardware on the case has somewhat oxidized and become less shiny over time. CONUS
