2007 John Walker Wise River Custom
This guitar was built to the specs of a prewar, 1941, J35.
Slightly thicker "C" profile neck
1 11/16 nut width 2 3/16" spacing at bridge
1/4" pearl dots (none at 17th fret)
19 frets instead of 20, the fretboard is slightly shorter showing the complete rosette
Bone bridge pins
Firestripe style pickguard
Reddish tint to the back & sides mahogany
Serial number 035 built in 2007
Action set at 6/5 64'ths with full saddle.
Relief is set at .006
Presently wearing light E-G with medium B and high E. It wore mediums for the better part of 4 years, but I found the light/medium combo brought out more "growl".
Only blemish is around the sides of the headstock near the nut from an Elliot capo, looks worse in the photos as I zoomed way in. No other marks, scratches, etc. that I can find.
John Walker examined this guitar 2 years ago when I visited his shop in Montana and gave it a clean bill of health.
I am super bummed to sell this one, as it was a constant companion for the last 5 years, but a new build is coming in 2 months, so one in one out.
Will ship in new Silver Creek case.
$2800 shipped to cont. USA.
Donation to the cafe if it sells here.
No trades at this time.
