1930 Gibson TB-4 Conversion 5 String Banjo

Photo for Ad 140318

Here’s a Bluegrass tone monster created from a 1930 TB-4 thick "fat-boy" rim, with its original "Mastertone" 40-hole arch-top, chrome plated tone ring, brackets and 1-piece flange.

The stretcher band and arm rest are nickel plated. To complete this Bluegrass stalwart is a walnut neck with Flying Eagle inlays crafted by a talented, but unknown maker. The neck matches original walnut resonator which has concentric rings of dyed walnut and maple marquetry.

This vintage Gibson is in excellent condition with amazing volume and projection, a welcome member in any Bluegrass ensemble.

Includes original tenor neck.

$9,500.00 With newer hard shell case
