Photo for Ad 140271

$2,650.00

Great playing and sounding lightweight wood-y tone ring banjo.

SN: 243 • Mahogany banjo
1 1/4″ width at nut • Exc.(+) Condition.

This used Bishline Danny Barnes model is a great lightweight banjo that still retains the power and timbre of a full tone-ring banjo. Beautiful maple block pot rim with wood tone ring. Dual co-ordinator rod construction. Black coated tension hoop and flange. Around 8 lbs it is much lighter than a full tone-ring banjo. Incredibly figured mahogany resonator. It is very rare to see this grade of mahogany figure as this resonator has. Straight grain mahogany neck. Ebony peghead veneer has Bishline logo abalone inlay at top, and abalone flourish in center. Ebony truss rod cover near nut. Ebony veneer shows thin white wood line below. Ebony flat fingerboard has medium abalone dot inlays with elaborate flourish on the 15th-18th fret.
