Mark Watkins of Fredericksburg, TX is building some of the most beautiful banjos that we have ever seen! Mr. Watkins has retired from building boutique pool cues and now focuses his incredible talent on banjos. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are second to none, and the tone is equally grand. Mesquite, Wenge, Maple pot and neck, ebony fretboard (25.5" scale), "fluted" fossilized walrus ivory nut, Whyte Laydie tone ring, all solid brass hardware (no pot metal), Elite Amber head, Gotoh tuners, intricate inlay (mother of pearl, abalone, sea snail), 1/2" thick pot -segmented block construction, frailing scoop, Pisgah tailpiece, Scorpion bridge.
