1983 Martin D-21 "Limited Edition" Dreadnought, $2,500.00

A Martin dreadnought that's rarely encountered.... this D-21 is built of East Indian Rosewood with a Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany neck and Brazilian Rosewood fretboard, bridge and headstock veneer. It's a "Limited Edition" model and wears the factory label signed by C.F.Martin III and IV. We acquired the guitar from the original owner, a life-long performer and music instructor. Less than 60 days before our acquisition, the guitar was in the shop for new frets. The fret work was completed by Florida-based luthier Ross Teigen, who is well known and regarded for his vintage guitar repair and set-up work.

The guitar came to us with great cosmetics, new frets and no cracks or repaired cracks.... we added the following:
(1) New natural bone nut and full-length, compensated saddle
(2) New Greven "Tor-tis" pickguard
(3) New Bob Colossi black horn bridge pins, strap button and end-pin.

This guitar is 100% and ready to provide the next owner with reliable, trouble-free play....it needs nothing and will not disappoint. As you can see from the pictures, this is a great looking guitar and it sounds even better. Really unique for a Martin dread, it has a lot of D-18 "sparkle" and plenty of low-end, Rosewood rumble, that's not "muddy" or overpowering.
