Vintique Right Handed Gatton Bridge Plate & Saddles For Tele

Photo for Ad 138031

This is a pre-owned and rare Vintique right-handed, polished, stainless steel bridge with three brass compensated saddles for the Telecaster or similar single-cutaway electric guitar. This is the bridge that Danny Gatton used on his teles. This bridge was personally manufactured and signed by Jay Montrose, Danny Gatton’s well-known guitar tech, as inscribed in free-hand on the back of the bridgeplate. Inscription reads, “Hand made at Vintique Jay Montrose 6.21.00, U.S.A. Gatton style.” More pics are available, please ask. I got this from Jay almost 20 years ago. He had obviously taken this bridge for trial runs before letting me have it because the bridge has micro scratches on its face from seating and adjusting the saddles and pickwear-nothing serious.

Three solid brass compensated saddles are designed to minimize 'crosstalk' between the three pairs of strings, to maximize sustain, and to assure proper intonation. This bridge plate mounts securely to body with four conventional sized screws towards the back end and two very long 'button head' screws on the front end. All mounting screws are not included. Six holes in the deck for the strings to feed through the body.

According to research on the Web, this bridge fits almost all real USA right-handed Telecasters from the '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, ‘00s right-handed USA Vintage Series Reissues, right-handed USA Custom Shop vintage style Teles, and right-handed Relics. It also fits many right-handed Mexican Teles, and even most right handed copies of Telecasters. But please note that this bridge will not fit American Series/American Standard Teles.

If you can find it, a new one sells for $280. My price is $200, paid by PayPal “Friends and Family,” and shipped free by to a buyer in the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) by U.S. Postal Service, and only to a PayPal-verified address. Thank you.
