1922 Bacon FF Professional Mandolin-Banjo

From the 1890s to the 1930s, musical instrument manufacturers were quick to exploit the desire of people to make music in their homes. The mandolin was the most popular instrument of the day and when the banjo became popular, a natural marriage of the two was the mandolin-banjo. 

In 1922 the Bacon Banjo Co. ruled supreme, producing high quality instruments in Groton, Connecticut. This FF Professional mandolin banjo is a high-quality instrument with the famous Bacon internal resonator design and Bacon proprietary tone ring which produces glorious tones, able to be heard the length of the dance hall.

This extremely rare example features mahogany construction with a straight, extremely playable neck, Get ready for some blues and ragtime!
