1975 Hopf Classical - Brazilian Rosewood - Original Owner

1975 Hopf Classical - Brazilian Rosewood back & sides and Cedar top. Made in West Germany - Original Owner

I purchased Classical guitar in 1975 from a small classical guitar shop in Manhattan named Orozco’s down the street from Carnegie Hall. When I first got the guitar, I scratched the top below the treble strings near the soundhole by tapping with my fingernails :-/ I also was young and stupid and didn’t take very good care of it. The bottom line is the guitar has some flaws aesthetically, but please don’t let that discourage you. This is a wonderful sounding instrument. Beautiful rich bass tones and clear trebles. Arguably the now endangered Brazilian Rosewood produces an amazingly luscious warm tone combined with the Cedar top.

This guitar has recently had complete fret leveling and crowning. Also, the top has been straightened where the bridge was sinking in. The guitar sound is not effected at all by the hairline cracks in the top. (please inquire for detailed photos)

Other Specs:
The scale is 26.0”
Upper Bout: 11.175”
Lower Bout: 14.5”
Depth: 4.0”
Action at 12th:
* Low E: 3.5mm
* High E: 3.0mm

I have many photos that I will gladly send to you if you email me.

I’m allowing all of you to decide what it’s worth, and BEST OFFER gets it!

Thanks for your interest.

Tom
