I commissioned this guitar in 2015 from Bill Meyer at Jack Straw Guitars. It is Bill's incredible take on the highly-respected and rare Martin 000-18 Norman Blake. This one is Adirondack Spruce over Sinker Mahogany with flamed Maple binding. Adirondack scalloped bracing. Neck is a fatter D-profile with 1 13/16" nut and 2 5/16" bridge string spacing. Macassar Ebony fretboard. Waverly tuners. Guitar has a water-based finish. Excellent condition with only pick swirl and a couple indents that do not break finish. Has a Baggs Lyric installed. Collings HSC.
I Absolutely love this guitar, but aging hands and wrists can no longer handle this big neck for long playing periods! It was going to be my lifetime guitar! Can't stand to see it sit with little play.
I have complete documentation of the build process and some simple Dropbox sound clips I can provide. I know Bill is not a household name, but folks like Al Petteway at Dream Guitars has had great things to say about Bill's work. It's all true!
Will sell for $2800 or trade for the right OM or 000 with 1 3/4" nut.
