Bell Trichordo Bouzouki

Photo for Ad 133956

Converted from a guitar w. bell shape body that was languishing---this is much happier as a pseudo-zouk with 3 pairs tuned CGC (octaves on the lower). Fabulous sound and plays like butter; strong sustained & deep response with none of the metallic plinky-ness of some Greek bowl backs. Patterned after a simpler model I made in 1973 as an alternative to dulcimer, with all the frets and easier for a guitarist like myself to hold & move on.
Maine AA red spruce top w. S. American mahogany body, Brazilian ipe fretboard & bridge. Length 38", body 17 3/4 x14 x 4". nut width 1 5/8", a bit wide but my fingers like the room; scale 25 1/2. Includes a Dunlop Trigger quick change capo for D, F, G, A and keys between. Body fits a Hiscox Pro-II medium classical case (+$270) or padded gig bag ($55.00); will also fit most D size guitar hardshells. Pick guard(s) can be added. String gauges .030phosphor/.012plain, .020pb, .012 plain. But can be varied for different tunings. Bridge saddle is movable like on most bouzoukis for precise intonation. Neck has adjustable truss, fretboard glued w. marine epoxy for superior strength. Grover indiv. machine heads....All construction and materials etc. guaranteed. $685.00 plus case...hardshell required for shipping. 2 day money back trial less freight costs.
