Up for sale is a beautiful-sounding 12-fret 000 acoustic guitar built by John Baxendale, a luthier based in Colorado. John recently built amazing dreadnoughts for both my dad and Winfield champion Joe Smart to use in our live shows (as part of the O’Connor Band), and I also own one of his D-18s.
Check out the video demo here:
This Baxendale is very easy to play and is one of the biggest-sounding 12-fret “small-body” guitars I’ve ever heard. It’s got several custom features, including a big vintage-feeling neck, ivoroid-bound fretboard, a Vega D-style headstock inlay, an abalone rosette, an ivoroid-bound bridge, and ivoroid/abalone end pins. The top is Adirondack, back and sides are beautiful Honduran Rosewood (my favorite rosewood after Brazilian). 1 23/32” at the nut.
It’s in pristine condition. Comes in a Harptone case. PRICE REDUCED to $3,500 + shipping.
