Martin Style A

Rare example of a flat back Martin Style A mandola, which was first introduced in 1914. Lovingly restored, numerous side cracks and and back cracks have been repaired and new finish has been applied. Features a yellowed spruce top with bend, mahogany back/sides. 20 fret mahogany neck with 15-3/8" scale, 1-3/16" nut width, ebony fretboard w/ dot inlays. Later 4-per-plate tuners with ivoroid buttons, rosewood peghead overlay, Outfitted with Waverly cloud tailpiece, and reproduction ebony bridge. Martin stamp present inside, but has been sanded off peghead back. Included in sale is chipboard case.
