Two Finger Chords
What more could you want? Easy chords that sound great. Each one requires only two fingers and you get to play the open strings as well. These come in handy for a wide variety of music and are a great resource if you're just learning to play. Don't let those 13ths scare you -- they make great substitutes for 7th chords.
I wouldn't dream of doing a gig without these handy little chords.
If you'd like to delve a lot further into mandolin chords let us suggest the Mel Bay Deluxe Encyclopedia Of Mandolin Chords, a book we contributed to several years ago that remains a best-seller in the mandolin community.
Thanks to two contributors who saw these chords and shared their own: Kansas City mandolin whiz Kathleen Fitzgerald, and Daniel Forchelet who lives and plays mandolin in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
