Sources, music for two mandolins is the new recording from Israeli-based Jacob Reuven and Alon Sariel.

Alon Sariel is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance where he studied mandolin, lute and orchestra conducting. He has studied orchestra directing and the Arch lute at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. He's a past winner of the International Mandolin Award, the International Calace Competition, the Jerusalem Academy Competition for String Instruments, The Jerusalem Academy Chamber Music Competition, the Monart Center Competitions, the Serni Foundation Competitions, and more. He performs widely in Israel, Europe and the Far East as member of ensembles and orchestras such as Daniel Barenboim's West Eastern Divan, the Royal Estudiantina La Napolitaine, has participated, playing and lecturing, in important international festivals world wide as founder of The Jerusalem Baroque Trio (The Israeli Early Music Project) and Duo Sariel Ghilione.

Jacob Reuven graduated from the Beer Sheva Conservatory under the guidance of Prof. Simha Nathanson. In 1994 he was awarded the Excellent Musician Status by the Israeli army, which allowed him to pursue acadmic studies at the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem while doing his military service. During his time as a student at the Rubin Academy and under the guidance of Prof. Motti Smidt, Jacob won the prestigious concerto competition for two years in a row, which led to several performances under the baton of the conductor Mendi Rodan. In 1998 he graduated the Rubin Academy, receiving a M.Ba.Mus. Jacob has performed with some of the best Israeli orchestras and ensembles, including, amongst others, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israeli Sinfonietta, the Israel Chamber Orchestra and the Twenty First Century Ensemble under the batons of conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Mstislav Rostropovitch, Antonio Pappano, Mendi Rodan and Zsolt Nagy.
