International Bluegrass Music Museum's Weber Mandolin Auction

Owensboro, Ky. — The International Bluegrass Music Museum is auctioning off a Weber Bitterroot f-style mandolin valued at $2,999, a gift from Weber as part of the museum's fund-raising efforts for their annual Bill Monroe Mandolin Camp and ROMP (River of Music Party).
An opening bid of $1,000 has already been placed, and bids are now being accepted in increments of $25. Bidding will close Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. (CDT).
All interested parties will be called at 6:55 p.m., November 7 with a chance to place a final bid. and will be kept on the phone until the bidding closes at 7:00 p.m.

About the Museum
The International Bluegrass Music Museum is located in the RiverPark Complex at the foot of "the blue bridge" in downtown Owensboro, Kentucky. As you draw near, you'll hear the sounds of bluegrass music emanating from the museum's radio station, RBI, with audio speakers taking the music to the streets. Only a few hundred feet from the museum's entrance, the sound of music drifts downstream via the mighty Ohio River, the subject of more than a few memorable bluegrass songs.
The mission of the International Bluegrass Music Museum is to develop and maintain an environment in which people of all ages can discover the richness of bluegrass music. The museum itself is the world's only facility dedicated to the history and preservation of the international history of bluegrass music.
