Mike Marshall Mandolin Workshop and Concert - Indianapolis

Indianapolis, In. — New World Youth Orchestras is proud to host a Mike Marshall mandolin workshop on Saturday, November 15, 2008, followed by a performance of his "Concerto for Mandolin" with the New World Youth Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, November 16.

Both events will he held at the Hilbert Circle Theater in downtown Indianapolis, 45 Monument Circle in Indianapolis.

Saturday's mandolin workshop will be held from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required and strongly recommended as an early sell-out is anticipated. Registration fee is $75.00 for workshop only or $80.00 for the addition of a concert ticket.

Sunday's concert begins at 3:00 p.m., with Mandolindy, a group from the Mandolin Society of Central Indiana performing at 2:00 pm on Sunday in the lobby.

New World is thankful to receive support for this event from Frank's Violins and Eastman Strings with additional season support from Encore Orchestral Strings, Southwest Strings, and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
