Herschel Sizemore Roanoke, Virginia Mandolin Workshop

Roanoke, Va. — Bluegrass mandolin legend Herschel Sizemore will host a day-long mandolin workshop on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Roanoke Holiday Inn, 3315 Ordway Drive.

The workshop is sponsored in part by the Mandolin Cafe.

Topics covered will include "Learning To Play Melody", "How To Play With Good Tone", tune introductions and endings, "Less is More", and much more.

The workshop is a single-day class held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a morning session from 9:00 to noon and mid-morning break. Lunch is from noon - 2:00 p.m. with an afternoon session from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and an afternoon break.

Enrollment fee for the workshop is $150.00 per person and must be paid in advance by check or money order. Payment for the workshop (separate charge from room reservation) should be made payable to Herschel Sizemore Mandolin Workshop and mailed to 5720 Barns Ave. NW, Roanoke, Virginia 24019.

Workshop participants are eligible for a special hotel rate of $89 per night. Call the hotel directly at (540) 362-4500 and ask for the discounted rate for the mandolin workshop.
