Author's notes:

Since there isn't a strong mandolin and guitar tradition in Finland, I felt it necessary to make new arrangements rooted in the Finnish folk music tradition while simultaneously aiming at a new and fresh sound. The influence of Irish and American folk music can be clearly heard, with the role of guitars and mandolins being prominent in those traditions.

The book is not actually intended for beginners. The difficulty or the arrangements varies and I hope that everybody who is into this kind of music will find something suitable for his/her skill levels.
