Gallatin, Tenn. — Bluegrass music legend Jesse McReynolds hosts a special two-day mandolin camp at the McReynold's "Pick Inn" on July 11-12, 2008 at 550 Zieglers Fort Rd.
Registration includes a Friday evening get-acquainted session and evening meal at the "Pick Inn" and jam session in the pavilion.
Saturday will include two one-hour workshops morning and afternoon, with a concert on Saturday night by Jesse and the Virginia Boys Band, plus a late night jam session with Jesse and all students.
Topics covered will include Jesse's innovative cross picking, split-string style playing, and much more.
Limited space is available for the workshop and advance registration and reservations are strongly encouraged. This is a rare opportunity to learn first-hand from one of the first generation bluegrass mandolin legends.
Some accommodations are available at the Pick Inn on a first-come basis. Accommodations not included in the workshop fee of $500.00. Bledsoe Creek State Park is across the street from the Pick Inn with bath houses, full camping hookups or rough camping. Many hotels are available in Gallatin, a ten-minute drive of the Pick Inn.
