California Coast Music Camp 2008

California Coast Music Camp 2008

Sonoma County, Calif. — California Coast Music Camp is gearing up for two fun-packed weeks of music instruction July 6-12 and July 13-19, 2008 with registration now open.

Held in the heart of California's famous Sonoma wine country, California Coast Music Camp, in its 17th year, is one of the longest running and most successful and enjoyable music camps to be found anywhere.

Each day begins with breakfast in the dining hall. Then there are two class periods, followed by lunch and a third class period. After that there's a break when you can jam, practice, swim in the river, hike, or take a nap. In the late afternoon there are one-time workshops, another break, and then dinner. Each night is a different activity with concerts, a dance and open mics.

Mandolin instructors for 2008 include Keith Little and Jack Tuttle for Week 1. Blues mandolin great Rich DelGrosso will also be present during Week 1 teaching a blues band and a blues rep class. Radim Zenkl and Mike Compton are your mandolin instructors for Week 2.

All acoustic instruments are welcome, including guitar, bass, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and percussion. Singers and songwriters also welcome. Styles include swing, blues, bluegrass, country, folk, Brazilian, Celtic, jazz, rock, and more.
