2008 San Francisco Festival of Mandolins

San Francisco, Ca. — The 8th Annual San Francisco Festival of the Mandolins will be held April 13, 2008 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Croatian American Cultural Center at 60 Onondaga.

For the first time ever, all five San Francisco Bay Area Mandolin Orchestras will be performing on the same program.

Participating orchestras include the Aurora Mandolin Orchestra, Gravenstein Mandolin Orchestra, Instant Klezmer Mandolin Orchestra, San Francisco Mandolin Orhcestra, and the Silver Strings Mandolin Orchestra.

In addition, there will be a guest appearance by Tom Rozum with Laurie Lewis, Tony March and Paul Shelasky.

Other events include the BYO Mandolin Orchestra (Bring Your Own), all the mandolin workshops and a panel of orchestra leaders.
