Boise, Id. — Old Boise Guitar will host a mandolin workshop with Mike Compton on February 9, 2008 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., 515 W. Main Street.

Mike Compton is a Grammy and IBMA award-winning recording artist; solo, duo and band performer; and as passionate a teacher of and advocate for the mandolin as you're ever likely to find.

Mandolin Magazine calls Compton a player with "a worldwide reputation as one of the modern masters of bluegrass mandolin, one of the most recognizable and respected mandolin voices anywhere".

The workshop is limited to 30 students with an enrollment fee of $75.00. Advance reservations are required and a sell-out is expected. To reserve your spot, email Dennis Stokes or call (208) 941-5611.
