Logan, Mont. — Weber Fine Acoustic Instruments has partnered with Bozeman's Music Villa to create two exclusive custom mandolins.
The Music Villa 'A' mandolin boasts herringbone binding, small 3-millimeter fretboard markers, and a radiused fretboard; the Music Villa 'F' is also bound in herringbone, with 5-millimeter diamond fretboard markers.
Both models have radiused fretboards for greater playability, Brekke Traditional bridges, a tobacco-sunburst satin finish, and custom-inlaid ebony pickguards; the 'A' model pickguard is inlaid with a fishing fly, and the 'F' model with a buffalo skull.
The two models carry appointments that symbolize Montana's history, from the old west to present day. Music Villa owner Paul Decker said, "The response from our customers has been great. Players are excited by the instrument's sound and look." Each mandolin is available for public viewing and purchase at Music Villa, (406) 587-4761.
