East Sandwich, Mass. — The third annual Cape Cod Mandolin Camp, a weekend of instruction, rehearsal and performance for mandolinists of all backgrounds will be held September 28-30, 2007.

Carlo Aonzo, who has been called the greatest Italian classical mandolinist of our time, will be the special guest. Also featured will be bluegrass mandolin icon Matt Flinner, classical/Brazilian master Marilynn Mair, and the New England Mandolin Ensemble.

Participants will study, rehearse and perform with faculty-led ensembles in their choice of musical styles, including classical, bluegrass, Brazilian, klezmer, old-time and jazz. There will also be a faculty performance featuring Carlo Aonzo and the New England Mandolin Ensemble, led by Berklee College professor August Watters.

Registration is open to mandolinists of all interests and abilities. Participants will work closely with faculty, and a special beginners' track will be offered. Discounted early registration is available through May 15.

Faculty include Carlo Aonzo, Matt Flinner, Marilynn Mair (Roger Williams University), Jim Dalton (Boston Conservatory), August Watters (Berklee College), Seth Austen, Mitch Nelin, Beverly Woods, and Keith Baumann. The location is East Sandwich Beach, one of Cape Cod's most beautiful resorts.
