Third Annual Midwest Mandolin Festival

Indianapolis, Ind. — The Third Annual Midwest Mandolin Festival, presented by the Mandolin Society of Central Indiana will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Eagle Creek Park.

Enjoy a day outdoors with acoustic mandolin music, including old time, traditional, classical, jazz, blues, contemporary, ragtime, orchestrated, and bluegrass music by regional performing artists.

There will also be mandolin workshops, and some open stage time. Enjoy seating in the surrounding grassy area with a picnic lunch. Free with paid admission to the park. The following are confirmed to perform:

Homer Pass and Mike Butler (Country Blues)
John Gates and Harvey Mosteller (Bluegrass)
Mandolindy (Variety mandolin ensemble music)
Slates Family Band (Down home music served up family style)
il Troubadore (Indy's 16th century rock band)
Fellowship (Gospel)
Mark Kurkowski and Mario Joven (Jazz)
Buckdancer's Choice (Americana)

Additional acts to be announced and performance slots are available.
