88 Strings Mandolin Orchestra Concert - Traverse City, Michigan

Traverse City, Mich. — Come experience the world of the plucked string orchestra under the direction of Don Julin when 88 Strings appears in concert on December 20, 2006.

88 Strings is made up of 11 mandolins, six guitars, two basses, and one ukulele.

This concert will feature six small ensembles ranging is size from two to five players in addition to the 20 member orchestra and will explore a wide variety of music including Bach chorales, jazz standards, Irish fiddle tunes, Hungarian folk music and three movements from The Nutcracker.

This free concert will be held at the Traverse City Public Library on December 20, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
