Tacoma, Wash. — Wintergrass 2007 has a special treat in store for fans of mandolin when Mike Marshall, Chris Thile and Hamilton de Holanda make their first appearance together on Friday night, February 23 as part of the Midnight Mandolins at Wintergrass on the Pavilion Stage.

2007 WinterGrass will be held February 22-25, 2007 in Tacoma, Washington at the Sheraton Tacoma Hotel and surrounding venues.

Mike Marshall is more musically curious than a cat and all of his nine lives. He's brought some great surprises to Wintergrass over the years including memorable performances with Edgar Meyer, NewGrange, Darol Anger, Psychograss and one of the first performances of his duo with Chris Thile.

Last year he introduced festival-goers to Brazilian bandolim phenomenon Hamilton de Holanda. This year Mike is introducing Hamilton and Chris Thile for the first time ever on stage at Wintergrass on Friday night at an historic midnight show. This will be the first time all three have performed together.

Celebrating the Changing Face of Bluegrass the festival lineup includes Jerry Douglas, Tim O'Brien, Blue Highway, Mike Marshall & Hamilton de Holanda, Chris Thile & the How to Grow a Band, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, The Infamous Stringdusters, The Darrell Scott Band, The Gibson Brothers, The Greencards, Cowan, Scott & Flynn, Crooked Still, Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike, Uncle Earl, 3 Fox Drive, Hot Buttered Rum, The Mammals and more.
