MaMaVig - Jamie Masefield, Gary Mazzaroppi and Frank Vignola

Mandolinist Jamie Masefield of Jazz Mandolin Project fame has formed a project trio under the moniker MaMaVig, an acronym representing the ensemble's musicians: Jamie Masefield on mandolin, Gary Mazzaroppi on bass, and Frank Vignola on guitar.

The group is currently finishing a recording with a strong gypsy flavor and say they plan to cover some of the lesser known music of Django Reinhardt along with original compositions designed for acoustic settings.
