Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center Mandolin Workshops Announced

The Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center Adult Music Program in Front Royal, Virginia, announces their Spring, 2004 Workshops

BEGINNER'S MANDOCRUCIAN BOOT CAMP
with Niles Hokkanen, April 4-7, 2004

- Fee includes all materials, tools, instruction, lodging, meals, and other extras.
- Program starts on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. and concludes on Wednesday by 11:30 a.m.
- Lodging on Saturday evening available at additional cost.
- Participation limited to 18 people.
- $375.00 for everything.
- Day rate is $295.00 and includes three lunches and Sunday dinner. Additional meals can be purchased as we go through the program.
- You may send a $100.00 deposit to hold a space. The balance due will be collected upon arrival at the program.
- Early-Bird Rate: if you pay in-full by February 1, 2004, you pay only $345.00 a savings of $30.00.

OCTAVE and STANDARD MANDOLIN MAKING WORKSHOP
with Don Kawalek, April 4-7, 2004

You have your choice of building either a standard mandolin or an octave mandolin at this workshop.

- Fee includes all materials, hardware (strings, tuning machines, tailpiece), instruction, lodging, meals, and other extras.
- Program starts on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. and concludes on Wednesday by 2:00 p.m.
- Lodging on Saturday evening available at additional cost.
- Participation limited to 10 people.
- $500.00 for a Standard Mandolin and everything as described above.
- $525.00 for an Octave Mandolin and everything as described above.
- Day rate is $420.00 (Standard) or $455.00 (Octave) and includes three lunches and Sunday dinner. Additional meals can be purchased as we go through the program.
- You may send a $100.00 deposit to hold a space. The balance due will be collected upon arrival at the program.
- Early-Bird Rate: if you pay in-full by February 1, 2004, you save $30.00 on either kit.

HAMMERED DULCIMER MAKING WORKSHOP
with Don Kawalek, May 7-9, 2004

- Fee includes all materials, tools, instruction, lodging, meals, and other extras.
- Program starts on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and concludes on Sunday by 2:00 p.m.
- Participation limited to 10 people.
- $450.00 for everything
- Day rate is $395.00 and includes two lunches and Friday dinner. Additional meals can be purchased as we go through the program.
- You may send a $100.00 deposit to hold a space. The balance due will be collected upon arrival at the program.
- Early-Bird Rate: if you pay in-full by March 1, 2004, you pay only $420.00 a savings of $30.00.

RHYTHM MANDOLIN BOOT CAMP
with Niles Hokkanen, May 7-9, 2004

- Fee includes all materials, instruction, lodging, meals, and other extras.
- Program starts on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and concludes on Sunday by 2:00 p.m.
- Participation limited to 20 people.
- $325.00 for everything as described above.
- Day rate is $270.00 includes two lunches and Friday dinner. Additional meals can be purchased as we go through the program.
- You may send a $100.00 deposit to hold a space. The balance due will be collected upon arrival at the program.
- Early-Bird Rate: if you pay in-full by March 1, 2004, you pay only $295.00 a savings of $30.00.
