UK Festival Features Prominent Mandolin Line-Up

Didmarton Bluegrass Festival

The Didmarton Bluegrass Festival, the largest bluegrass festival in the UK will be held September 1-3, 2006 at Kemble Airfield on the A429 just south of Cirencester, England and will feature a line-up of prominent U.S. and European mandolin players.

This year the festival headliner is the Nashville Bluegrass Band, with support from Peter Rowan, Growling Old Men, Carl Jones & Beverley Smith and a long list of British and other European bands.

There will also be a workshop for mandolin featuring Mike Compton, Ben Winship, Carl Jones and perhaps some of the British players in attendance.

The BBC Radio 2 will be interviewing the Nashville Bluegrass Band on August 23, 2006 between 7 and 8 p.m. (BST) as part of the festivities. Radio 2 can be heard around the world at
