Ted Falcon - Retratos do Brasil

California-based mandolinist Ted Falcon has released a new publication of Brazilian mandolin melodies entitled Retratos do Brasil, a collection of advanced choros and originals.

Includes the stylings of Jacob do Bandolim, Ernesto Nazareth, Pixinguinha, Esmeraldino Sales and more, faithfully transcribed from classic recordings by Trio Madeira Brasil, Danilo Brito, Jacob do Bandolim, Paulo Moura, Maria Teresa Madeira and others.

In the book, Falcon explains the secrets of rhythm, harmony, melody and the concepts of improvisation within the style of this unique music genre.

Book includes CD containing 21 new choro transcriptions of past Brazilian masters and 10 original compositions. Standard notation only with chord symbols, spiral-bound, 78 pages.
