On February 4th, 2006, Dennis A. Monroe of Rochester, New York passed away of a heart attack. The music world has lost one of its most talented and inspiring members. Dennis sang, played, composed and taught music for more than thirty years.

Mr. Monroe was an enthusiast for anything with strings and loved to share his knowledge of mandolin, banjo, guitar, violin, and lute with anyone who was willing to learn. He produced two CD's: Give Me Your Hand and Released as well as playing with the White Hots on their CD, White Hots with Relish live at the Clarrisa Room. He taught workshops and appeared around the country throughout his life.

He will be remembered fondly for his ability to instill the joy of playing music into his listeners and students and for the example he set in living life fully with a loving and open heart.
