The Blues Foundation, a nonprofit corporation headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee with more than 135 affiliated Blues organizations and membership spanning some twenty countries has announced their nominations for the 2006 Blues Music Awards.

Among the nominees is blues mandolinist Rich DelGrosso in the Instrumentalist-Other category.

For DelGrosso, a veteran blues musician and Mandolin Magazine Columnist, this is his first nomination by The Blues Foundation. He joins prestigious names receiving nominations ranging from B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown and many others.

The Blues Music Awards, set for May 11, 2006 at the Cook Convention Center in downtown Memphis, Tennessee will see almost 20 other artists looking to take home their first Blues Music Award. The Blues Music Awards are universally recognized as the highest honor given to Blues artists.

In addition to this nomination, response to DelGrosso's new CD Get Your Nose Outta My Bizness! has been strong enough to place the recording in the Top Ten on the current Living Blues radio chart.
