The Atlanta Mandolin Orchestra will visit the Colonnade for their fifth annual performance. The Ringgold Gap Band will bring bare-bones Bluegrass flavor for the opening show at 7 p.m. and the Atlanta Mandolin Orchestra will follow.
Tickets are available at the Colonnade for $10 the day of the show. Atlanta Mandolin Orchestra's September 10 performance will include music from the turn of the 20th Century, Jazz, Latin, Pop, and newer acoustic tunes, along with regional favorites like "Georgia On My Mind" and "Chattanooga Choo-Choo."
The Ringgold Gap Band is based in Ringgold, and led by local longtime Bluegrass entertainer Bobby Wilborn, focuses on traditional Bluegrass music ranging from Flatt & Scruggs to the Bluegrass Album Band.
Directions: Take I-75 North from Atlanta, take Exit 350 Battlefield Parkway (Hwy. 2A). Go 1.6 miles west on 2A. Turn right onto Old Mill Road. Go 1/4 mile to Benton Place Campus on the right. (Drive time from Atlanta 1.5 hours.)
