The Old School Bluegrass Camp - July 5-10, 2015, Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada

Ontario, Canada — July 5-10, 2015, bluegrass fans will descend here for a new and exciting educational experience when The Old School Bluegrass Camp holds their inaugural session.

The Camp is being held at a beautiful converted public school in Prince Edward County, Ontario. There are limited spots available offering campers an incredible ratio of teachers to students, with no more than ten students on any given instrument.

The camp features all the classic bluegrass instruments: banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar and bass, as well as Dobro and clawhammer banjo to round out the idiom.

Instructors

The camp fee includes basic camping, three delicious home-made meals a day (plus snacks), daily classes on your chosen instrument with a master musician/instructor, band labs where you'll learn to play as a group, concerts by your instructors on the school's stage, interactive workshops, private lesson, fun evening social activities, bon fire jams and all amenities.

Love bluegrass but hate camping? There are many options for RV camping, inns, B&Bs and hotels close by, all listed on the website. The camp is the brainchild of Juno award winning musician Jenny Whiteley along with her good friend Alysa Hawkins who is the owner/operator/resident of the Old School and South in Milford Inn.
