Baker's Dozen - A Collection of Mandolin Tunes

Baker's Dozen - A Collection of Mandolin Tunes

This collection of mandolin tunes by Gus Garelick features original compositions and arrangements of traditional tunes from around the world, 13 tunes in all, presented in standard notation and tablature.

Each original tune is an exercise in a particular style or technique: Bluegrass, cross-picking, jazz mandolin, Italian Ballo Liscio, more.

The arrangements come from many sources: traditional folk tunes (not necessarily written for mandolin), or recorded and published pieces.

This book is intended for advanced players and includes techniques learned from American masters like Jethro Burns and Jesse McReynolds, and Italian masters like Giovanni Giovale and Tony Flores, and others.
