Walker Creek Music Camp - October 11-14, 2013
Petaluma, Calif. — Sharon Gilchrist, Caleb Klauder, Butch Waller and special guest Ron Thomason will lead an all-star mandolin instructor team for this year's Walker Creek Music Camp held October 11-14, 2013 on the grounds of the Walker Creek Ranch, located in the rolling hills of West Marin County between Petaluma and Tomales Bay, about an hour drive north of the San Francisco.
In addition to classes in mandolin, the camp plays host to instruction with world class musicians in guitar, banjo, fiddle, ukulele, vocals and all instrument jamming 101.
Walker Creek Music Camp is for students of all ages who love to play or sing Bluegrass, Oldtime & Country Music with occasional forays into other related styles!

Foghorn String Band, Canote Brothers, Fletcher Bright, Bill Evans, Candy Goldman, Keith Little, Heidi Clare, Ron Thomason, Donna Lim, Evie Ladin, Sharon Gilchrist, Mark Nelson, Butch Waller, Paul Knight, Sid Lewis, Sally Van Meter, Steve Baughman, Carol Spiker and Morgan Cochneuer (Music & More program) and Josh Tharp, camp luthier.
About the camp
Walker Creek Music Camp is in a quiet and beautiful area with an abundance of wildlife and miles of hiking trails. They serve healthy and delicious food, and offer various choices of accommodations for campers.
Registration for the Fall Camp is now open online or by mail. Cost ranges from $360 to $750, depending on accommodation and meal choices. There are also some halftime slots available, starting at $210 — call (415) 663-1342 for more information. The late fee of $50 is now in effect; this fee can be waived if needed if you just found out about the camp.
All classes are still currently open to registration.
