RigelFest - September 30 & October 1

Mandolin players and aficionados will converge in Cambridge, Vermont this fall for the first annual RigelFest 2005, an all-mandolin festival sponsored by Rigel Mandolins of Cambridge, Vermont. Sept 30 and October 1 are the dates and this is a great time of year to visit.

Concerts, mandolin workshops, tours of the Rigel plant and other mandolin activities are planned as part of this first-ever event for Rigel. The festival headquarters will be the Smugglers Notch Inn which is dedicated to RigelFest for the entire weekend. Please call Peter Mix at 800-476-1009 for reservations. There are rooms available still, but not many. Camping is available and sightseeing opportunities abound in this gorgeous part of the world.

Performers include the Will Patton Band, Bryce Milano Big Spike (Pete Langdell's acclaimed bluegrass band), Peter Mix, Don Schabner and more....

Festival attendees can add more than fine mandolin music at this event. Fall foliage should be in its full glory in the Green Mountains, one of the oldest and most beautiful mountain ranges on earth. Recognized as an exceptionally beautiful area of Vermont, Smuggler's Notch lies just a few miles away from Cambridge, home of Rigel Instruments. Driving through Smuggler's Notch, mandolin enthusiasts will find Stowe, where the Trapp family fled to from Nazi Germany because it reminded them so strongly of Austria. Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream is just a few miles down the road, and Lake Champlain is 45 minutes to the west. Montreal lies but 1 1/2 hours to the north if you're looking for an international experience and we can direct you to the world's best espresso if you want to venture across
the border.

Please join the folks at Rigel and their guests for a weekend of mandolin music, mandolin making and fall foliage at its best.
