SugarFest - Sugar Hill Records
Sugar Hill Records, founded over 25 years ago in Durham, North Carolina, has teamed with the American Tobacco Historic District to present the first SugarFest at the American Tobacco Amphitheater on May 20 and 21, 2005, featuring artists from the esteemed label's roster.
Renowned bluegrassers, The Nashville Bluegrass Band, singer-songwriter Grey DeLisle, and the harmonies of The Gibson Brothers have been added to the lineup.
Tickets can be purchased through the Durham Bulls box office -- 919 956-2855 or online at durhambulls.com at a cost of $60 for both nights -- or $30 for Friday, and $40 for the Saturday show.
SugarFest will kick off Friday, May 20 with a concert from 8:00 - midnight. Guy Clark, Tim O'Brien, Scott Miller & The Commonwealth, and Sonny Landreth are scheduled to perform. The main stage is located under the famous Lucky Strike water tower in the heart of the American Tobacco campus.
Saturday's festivities begin at 2 p.m. with Maura O'Connell, Sam Bush, Greg Trooper, The Nashville Bluegrass Band, Grey DeLisle, Reckless Kelly, The Gibson Brothers, and new sensations The Duhks. The performances will alternate between the Bay 3 stage and the mainstage.
